The Great Wall of China is 1 of the 7 wonders of the world and the longest man-made structure in the world. It’s winding path stretches over 21,000 km on top of steep mountains and rugged countryside. The wall started as a series of watch towers for warring states and connected together in the Ming dynasty to defend from northern invaders.
The section at Mu Tian Yu is 70km away from Beijing and is one of the best-preserved sections of the wall. You can ride up a cable car and walk along the 23 watchtowers. The hike is relatively flat with a steep incline at the end. So the beautiful scenery is literally breathtaking.
